Periodic Testing : safeguarding your property

Periodic Testing is an inspection carried out by a competent electrician to determine the condition and safety of an electrical installation. British standard 7671 which is the defining document for electrical installation in the UK, recommends testing is carried out

• for tenanted properties, at each change of occupancy
• for homes, at least every 10 years
• for commercial properties, at least every 5 years
